Honda Fit Prices Paid and Buying Experiences
$599 documentation fees?
I just left a dealership, with a final OTD quote of $17,986 for a 2009 Honda Sport Fit manual transmission (no navi, no extras). That's: $15,364 car $670 destination $21 tags >>> $599 <<< documentation fees 8% GA tax The documentation fees are absurd. BUT - even if I add $500 of that back into the price of the car (assuming $100 doc fees is more reasonable), it puts ... Read More...
Fit Price Paid
Here in San Diego: I just paid $17,800.00 OTD for a 2009 Honda Fit, Sport A/T in Tidewater Blue. So the base came out to being $16,267.00 before tax, licensing and registration fees. The only thing that sucked is that even with a good credit rating, the best rate they could give me was 6.99% financing over all periods. I just ended up paying cash for the whole thing. ... Re: Dealers Selling at Invoice in MD [beach57]
The Omaha, NE, area has 3 Honda dealers. The 2008 models all sold out and there was a real shortage for a couple months, when the 2009s arrived. When the 09s first showed up, they were selling at MSRP and the dealers couldn't keep them in stock. Now that the national economic crisies has arrived, sales are way down, inventories on the lots are way up (cars that used ... Read More...
Re: Buying a 2009 Fit Sport [bdouglas1]
bdouglas1 If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend trying to get a quote via the Honda internet site. This will likely achieve two things. First, it gets you out of the having to deal with the lot sales staff and into dealing with the internet sales staff. Second, I've purchased two Prius' (and '04 and an '05, both brand new) and a '09 Fit Sport MT this way and never ... Read More...

Re: Tire Wear Issue [fithopeful]
I have a 2009 Fit Sport an have the Dunlop SP7000 A/S tires on the car. I know that Honda also supplies the Bridgestone Turanza EL470 on the Fit so which tire is on your Fit? There could be a difference in the way each tire wears. The Dunlop are listed as high performance and the Bridgestone are a touring tire. I only have 2000 miles and can't see much wear yet. I find the ... Read More...
